Quattrini M210 210 cc reed cylinder for Lambretta 125-150

Cylinder kit with 210 cc from Max Quattrini for the small engine block of Lambretta 125-150cc LI/SX/GP/DL models. The Quattrini cylinder has a special diaphragm inlet which positions the carburetor on the left side of the vehicle. Compared to the original position, the carburetor is turned strongly forwards in the direction of travel.

In order to be able to use the largest possible displacement, the cylinder does not have a cylinder base that plunges into the engine block. This technology allows a larger piston than usual to be used. With a diameter of Ø68 mm and the standard stroke of 58 mm, this results in a displacement of 210 cc (60 mm stroke =218 cc). The crankshaft developed by Quattrini to match the kit has a longer connecting rod (116 mm instead of 107 mm) and a balance factor adapted to the low piston weight of the M210. The long connecting rod is intended to improve running smoothness and ensures that the piston is positioned higher so that it does not run out of the cylinder and tilt.

The cylinder layout is quite conventional, as is typical for quattrinity, and has large scavenging surfaces with a large rectangular exhaust window (65 %). The diaphragm inlet also acts as a direct inlet to the transfer ports, and the piston crown is flat. The overflow inlets at the cylinder base are designed to fit the standard engine block. However, they have enough meat to significantly enlarge the overflow channels on welded-on engine housings. The flange is fastened conventionally with two stud bolts with 65 mm holes. The socket of the BGM Pro Clubman exhaust for TS1 fits, but the distance between the stud bolts is larger and an adjustment of the exhaust flange is essential.

With head angles of 123°/180°, the Quattrini offers optimum conditions for a powerful sports tourer with Clubman exhaust, but also allows the use of resonance exhaust systems.

IMPORTANT TO NOTE: The holes for the cylinder stud bolts are sometimes too narrow as supplied. Adjustments in the form of re-drilling the holes for the stud bolts may be necessary.
